Question:
So your 15 yr old son tells you hell be gone for Pesach with his friend in Cancun Mexico.
Tell him he can't go? That he's expected to be home for Pesach with his family, because you'd all miss him too much if he was gone? If he still wants to go, ask him who is going to pay for it? If his friend is paying, tell him you don't feel comfortable accepting such large gifts from others?
I feel that the parents don't give kids some freedom. So the kids end up taking their" freedom" themselves. Like saying they're going away for pesach with friends. If moms would just be a little more lenient then I don't think there would be so much frustration. Ya got to let them live and explore ya know....
